by Genevieve Kruyssen

The Princess in Black is the perfect combination of adventure, monsters, tea parties and prettiness. Princess Magnolia does not have to reject her feminine attributes to be powerful, she gets to be both. One of my favourite parts of the tale is her inspiring a Sheppard to become a superhero and fight monsters as well, he becomes. . . Goat Boy! With a hessian sack disguise and all! At Wild Things this series is very popular with girls and boys. Families love to have this as a longer read aloud that transitions into a first Chapter book. It particularly works well with a family range in between 4 - 8.
