I saw Pete and Pete saw me is a heart-warming book about the connection between a little boy and Pete, a homeless person. It is a touching story about how children notice what grownups do not, and how little acts of kindness can make a big difference.
I love this book because it touches on the difficult topic of poverty and approaches it in a gentle and kind way. I love how the boy and Pete build their connection through drawings, and how it conveys a message of persistence, kindness in a hopeful and non-dogmatic way. Great for children above four years old.
