Stevie is in year six and is simultaneously facing the end of primary school and the end of her friend-group, the Brooke Street kids (they literally all live in the same cul de sac together). So before they're all split up and go to different high schools, she wants the gang to do one last fun thing: write, direct and perform a stage show together. But when a new girl moves into the vacant house in her street, then just as quickly moves into her friend-group, Stevie has trouble dealing with another person in her limelight. This quirky book would be great for 7-11yr old readers who also loved the Stardust School of Dance books by Zanni Louise and Polly And Buster by Sally Rippin.
