Rodney Forgets It
Rodney had a habit of forgetting this and that. Like where he left his coffee cup, his wallet or his hat. So will he remember that he’s invited to the Party of the Year!? From the creators of the CBCA Award-winning Rodney Loses It comes another comically chaotic tale ... of never forgetting what is most important.
Michael Gerard Bauer was a secondary school teacher of English and Economics before leaving teaching to pursue his writing dream. He has now written a range of popular and award-winning books for young adults through to early childhood readers. His very first novel The Running Man won the 2005 Children’s Book Council of Australia Book of the Year Award for Older Readers. Since then Michael has been shortlisted for CBCA Awards on three further occasions (Don’t Call Me Ishmael, Just a Dog and Ishmael and the Hoops of Steel) winning again in 2018 for his first picture book Rodney Loses It which also earned a Speech Pathology Australia Award. In 2019 his most recent novel The Things That Will Not Stand received the Prime Ministers Literary Award in the Young Adult category. Other books include The Pain, My Mother, Sir Tiffy, Cyber Boy and Me as well as the Eric Vale series illustrated by his son Joe Bauer. To date Michael’s stories have been translated into 12 languages and sold in over 40 countries.
