They will also be joined by authors James Layton, Rebecca Timmis and Rebel for lots of bookish activities, an ILLUSTRATOR BATTLE, readings and signing oppurtunities. See all their books here!

Dani Vee is a successful podcaster and a debut author with her first picture book My EXTRAordinary Mum launching during this event. Dani is host of the popular literary podcast Words and Nerds. With over 35000 listeners every month and more than 400 episodes, the podcast has become a significant part of the literary community. You can also find her facilitating panels at literary festivals such as the BAD Sydney Crime Writers Festival and The Sutherland Shire Writers' Festival, as well as podcasting at literary events. Dani loves nothing more than reading Oscar Wilde with a cup of camomile tea and dark chocolate.

Rebecca Timmis is an author-illustrator from the sunny Gold Coast. Before she started writing magical and adventurous stories, Rebecca wrote code for websites (which is not nearly as exciting). She's had lots of real-life adventures like almost falling off the Great Wall of China, hiding from grizzly bears in Canada and being chased by giant pigs in outback Queensland. When Rebecca isn't writing or drawing, she's working hard to turn her rambunctious three boys into polite members of society or watching superhero movies with her husband.

Michel Deverall is a children's author based on the Sunshine Coast in Queensland. She studied Professional Children's Writing & Publishing for three years, graduating with nine High Distinctions. She writes both junior fiction and picture books, and is passionate about encouraging reluctant readers to enjoy reading, which is one of the reasons she chooses to write humorous stories. She attributes her passion for writing, to reading countless children's books to her son when he was growing up—starting with picture books when he was only a few months old, all the way through to junior fiction. Being reintroduced to the wonderful world of children's books as adult, allowed her to view them from a very different perspective. A lot of her ideas are generated from childhood memories, including those of her son, who she says certainly gave her plenty of ammunition to work with over the years.
