Join Elizabeth Pulsford as she launches her debut picture book, But Why?
A visually stunning adventure story for every curious child who has ever asked the time-honoured question: "why?" This story is inspired by the boundless curiosity of children and dedicated to every parent whose mornings and nights are backing-tracked by the dulcet tones of "Why?" "But why?" "But Why?" "But why?"
Elizabeth Pulsford is a thirty-something-year-old cliché whose perfect day begins with coffee and morning yoga and ends with a ‘good book.’ She is a big fan of her two-year-old daughter Harriet, camping and nachos (generally in that order). She is a high school English and Performing Arts teacher living in Brisbane, and spends much of her time correcting students’ pronunciation of the word ‘hyperbole.’ ‘But Why?’ is Elizabeth’s debut picture book, contracted by Ethicool Books, when she won the Bee Ethicool Author Competition from over 2100 international entries in 2021. Her second picture book ‘Boots,’ will be published with Wombat Books later this year. Prior to teaching and motherhood, Libby worked for a variety of Children’s Theatre Companies, locally and internationally, as an actor, script writer and director of Children’s Theatre. She has some experience writing satirically for television, having had residencies with Good News Week and Rove Live.
Both the $10 Single Ticket and $25 Family Ticket can be for a family of 1-5. The Single ticket does not include a copy of the book but the family ticket does.
