A special young people’s Pride event featuring a book reading by S R Silcox, and a panel featuring young queer and trans people sharing their coming out stories.

S R Silcox is a Sunshine Coast based author who writes cheesy, queer-girl romcoms and sports fiction for teens. She started writing sweet romance stories for lesbian teens because she never got to read them herself when she was younger, and quickly discovered it was a great way to relive her glory days from her childhood and make up for all the things she didn’t do but wished she could have. Like kiss cute girls and play professional cricket!

Young LGBTQIAP people from Albert Park Flexi School and Open Doors Youth Service will speak on a panel about their coming out experiences—don’t miss this incredible event!

This event has been organised by Rainbow Families Qld in conjunction with Albert Park Flexi School, Open Doors Youth Service, and PFLAG.
